GLORII Privacy Policy
Effective Date: September 17, 2026
GLORII is a platform for recreational football players to build and maintain their football identity, connect with teams and players, record matches and performances, communicate, and find opportunities to play.
This Privacy Policy explains what information GLORII collects, how we use it, when it may be visible to other users, and the choices available to you when you use GLORII.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create a GLORII account, information used to authenticate and manage your account includes your email address and account identifier.
Authentication is provided through a third-party authentication service. GLORII does not store your password in its application database.
Player Profile Information
Your GLORII player identity may include:
- your name and display name;
- username;
- profile photo;
- preferred and secondary playing positions;
- team memberships;
- team- or match-specific jersey numbers; and
- information connecting your account to your GLORII player identity.
Some player identities may initially be created by team captains or other authorized team leaders before that player creates or claims a GLORII account.
Football Activity and Records
GLORII may store football-related information including:
- teams and team memberships;
- fixtures and matches;
- match participants;
- scores and results;
- goals, assists, cards, and other match events;
- appearances and derived statistics;
- planned lineups;
- match availability and RSVP responses;
- performance submissions;
- Player of the Game votes;
- seasons, competitions, and standings; and
- corrections, revisions, or voided football records.
Football records can involve multiple players and teams. As a result, certain records form part of a shared football history rather than information controlled by only one player.
GLORII may also retrieve or process information about recreational football teams, competitions, fixtures, results, standings, and related records from third-party league, competition, or fixture sources.
The presence of third-party information in GLORII does not imply sponsorship, affiliation, endorsement, or partnership with those third parties.
Social and Participation Information
GLORII may process information related to how you interact with players and teams, including:
- follows;
- blocks;
- team participation;
- player-needed or substitute opportunities;
- expressions of interest in those opportunities; and
- requests to verify ownership of an existing player identity.
Messages and Other User Content
If you use GLORII's communication features, we may store information including:
- direct messages;
- team messages;
- photos shared in chats;
- reactions;
- mentions;
- message-read information; and
- edits or message-removal records.
Messages are not end-to-end encrypted.
Current message-removal functionality may hide a message from the visible conversation while retaining underlying records associated with that message.
Photos
You may choose to provide photos for features such as:
- your profile photo;
- team chats;
- direct messages; and
- football moments and sharing features.
GLORII accesses your photo library only after you grant the relevant device permission and choose to use a feature that requires it.
Notifications and Device Information
If you enable push notifications, GLORII may process:
- a push notification token;
- your device platform;
- notification events and delivery information; and
- information included in notifications sent to you.
GLORII does not currently use advertising identifiers for cross-app tracking.
Support Communications
If you contact GLORII for support, we receive the information you choose to provide in your message, along with information such as the email address from which you contact us.
2. Information GLORII Does Not Currently Collect or Use
GLORII does not currently collect or use:
- precise device location or GPS coordinates;
- your device contacts;
- payment or financial information;
- advertising identifiers;
- third-party advertising profiles;
- cross-app tracking data; or
- third-party analytics profiles.
A venue or location name associated with a match may be stored as text. This does not mean GLORII is collecting your device's geographic location.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to provide and operate GLORII, including to:
- create and authenticate accounts;
- maintain player identities and football records;
- connect players with teams;
- display fixtures, matches, results, and statistics;
- support team and match administration;
- verify claims to existing player identities;
- provide messaging and social features;
- provide player-needed and substitute features;
- send notifications;
- maintain the integrity of player identities and football records;
- prevent or investigate unauthorized identity claims;
- provide support; and
- maintain and protect the service.
GLORII does not currently use personal information for third-party behavioral advertising or cross-app tracking.
4. What Other GLORII Users Can See
GLORII player and football information is not currently made publicly accessible on the open internet through the GLORII service. Access generally requires an authenticated GLORII account.
However, information within GLORII is not private by default.
Other authenticated GLORII users may be able to see information including:
- your name or display name;
- username;
- profile photo;
- playing positions;
- team memberships and roster information;
- matches;
- match participation;
- match events;
- football statistics;
- following relationships; and
- other football-related activity.
Some information has more limited visibility depending on the feature. For example:
- team messages are available to relevant team members;
- direct messages are available to conversation participants;
- match availability is limited to relevant team members;
- certain team-management information is limited to authorized team leaders;
- individual Player of the Game ballots are not made visible as public votes; and
- certain account, identity-security, notification, and operational records are not accessible to other users.
GLORII does not currently provide settings that allow you to make your entire profile private, hide your football statistics or match history, or remove your player identity from discovery.
Blocking another user restricts certain interactions, including messaging and following. Blocking does not currently make your profile or football records invisible to that user throughout GLORII.
5. Service Providers and External Sources
GLORII relies on third-party service providers to operate parts of the service.
These providers may process information as necessary to provide services such as:
- account authentication;
- database and application infrastructure;
- file and photo storage;
- server-side functionality;
- push-notification delivery;
- application distribution and infrastructure; and
- email delivery and support.
GLORII may also communicate with third-party league, competition, or fixture sources to retrieve football-related information used in the service.
When your device communicates directly with an external service, that service may receive ordinary network information associated with the connection, such as your IP address.
GLORII does not currently sell personal information or provide personal information to third-party advertising networks for behavioral advertising.
References to third-party information or services do not imply that GLORII is affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or partnered with those third parties.
6. Camera, Photos, and Face ID
If you grant photo-library access, GLORII may use that access when you choose to select profile photos, share photos in chats, or create or share football moments.
If you grant camera access, GLORII may use the camera when you choose to take a photo for a supported feature.
If you enable Face ID, GLORII uses your device's biometric authentication capabilities to help protect access to an existing GLORII session on that device.
GLORII does not receive or store your Face ID biometric template, facial scan, or biometric image.
7. Data Retention
GLORII does not currently apply a single fixed retention period to all categories of information.
Many football records are designed to persist because they form part of shared match, team, season, and player history. Some information may therefore be corrected, voided, deactivated, or hidden rather than physically deleted.
For example:
- finalized match records may remain as part of the football history of multiple participants;
- inactive team memberships may remain as historical records;
- removing a message from a visible conversation does not necessarily erase its underlying database record;
- identity-verification and ownership records may be retained to protect identity and record integrity; and
- certain operational records, such as notification events, may remain stored.
Different types of information may therefore be retained for different periods depending on their purpose and how they relate to GLORII's shared football records.
8. Account and Information Requests
GLORII does not currently provide complete self-service account deletion within the app.
If you have a question or request concerning your account or information, you can contact us at:
What GLORII can remove or change may depend on the type of information involved.
Certain information may need to remain where it forms part of a shared football record involving other users, is necessary to preserve match or team history, or is maintained for identity, security, record-integrity, or operational purposes.
We will evaluate requests based on the information involved and applicable requirements.
9. Your Choices
Depending on the feature, GLORII currently allows you to take actions including:
- editing supported parts of your player profile;
- changing or removing your profile photo;
- following or unfollowing players;
- blocking or unblocking players;
- managing supported availability and participation information;
- removing eligible messages within the period supported by the product;
- enabling or disabling Face ID; and
- contacting GLORII regarding your account or information.
Your device's operating system separately controls permissions such as photo-library, camera, biometric, and notification access.
10. Security
GLORII uses technical safeguards intended to protect information and restrict unauthorized access.
These include authentication, database access controls, restricted server-side operations, private file storage, identity-ownership protections, and audit records for certain sensitive operations.
No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
GLORII messages are not end-to-end encrypted.
11. Children's Privacy
GLORII is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to GLORII, please contact us at support@joinglorii.com so we can review the matter and take appropriate action.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as GLORII and its data practices change.
When appropriate, we may provide notice of material changes through GLORII, our website, email, or another available method.
The effective date at the top of this Privacy Policy indicates when the current version became effective.
